ABOUT BETA ALPHA PSI
Beta Alpha Psi was founded in 1919 to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. It is an internationally recognized honors organization with over 300 chapters and over 300,000 members. We promote the study and practice of accounting, finance, and information systems while providing opportunities for self-development, fostering cooperation among professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.
ABOUT THE ETA MU CHAPTER
Purpose
To prepare members for success in the business industry through the introduction of and exposure to essential topics in accounting, finance, and information systems. Our organization provides opportunities for members to network with professionals in the industry and participate in community service and social events.
Objectives
To promote academic and professional excellence in the fields of accounting, finance, and information systems. Our organization fosters and enhances leadership and integrity in our members through rewarding professional, social, and academic activities.
Professionalism
The Eta Mu chapter supports and instills confidence in our members to provide a smooth transition into the business world. Our chapter alumni network stretches among all the major professional firms, and our organization provides numerous opportunities to meet with these professionals.
Goal
To provide the most current industry information for our members in order to better shape and enhance their careers. This knowledge makes our members more marketable and allows them to add to the value of the business world.
Community
The Eta Mu chapter encourages a sense of ethical and social responsibility in our members. We hold a number of tutoring labs and service events in recognition of the value of giving back to the community. Our members work with non-profit organizations that benefit and improve our world.
